The Sporting Chance Foundation was founded by Martin Lightbody as a legacy of his passion for sports and the opportunities sport gave him in life and in business.

We recognise sport as a power for good therefore, we want to democratise opportunities for young people, across Scotland, to access and participate in sports. The SCF believes sport teaches discipline, gives confidence, creates role models and promotes sociability. We also believe sport is a vehicle to encourage independence, improve self esteem and allow participants an opportunity to form positive relationships.

Sport enhances lives through well being, both mentally and physically.

Our vision is of a Scotland where more people are more active more often; a Scotland where everyone has a sporting chance.
